What the station's canon holds on this case.
Nothing here spoils a case you haven't heard — banked cases aren't on these pages at all. Horizon · Case 064
A widow hired the detective to prove that the city's beloved late-night Padre -- the voice that absolved a hundred thousand sleepers every night -- was the same man who had killed her husband three years before, a dead man broadcasting from the grave. The detective matched the voice beyond his own doubt, then stood with Dale in the hum of the transmitter and learned that certain and useless meant the same thing when the thing you were certain of was the only comfort the city could afford. He let the mask stand for everyone listening, but in the dead air after the show the Padre gave the widow the one confession he had never put on the wire, and a new voice was forgiving the city by Friday.

New Case 054. The Hour of Mercy re-voiced by Friday: the Padre stepped away after confessing privately to the widow, and whoever franchises forgiveness in Calloway Bay had a new voice on the wire before the week was out — no missed night, no visible seam.…
Alive, off the force since Case 013, his last move left in Flynn of the Chronicle's keeping. Returned in Case 043 to call in an old dock-beat loyalty the badge can no longer back; walked away believing a debt was settled clean, not knowing what the detective…
Partial_justice. A widow hired the detective to prove the city's beloved late-night Padre was the man who had killed her husband three years before — known to her only by voice, broadcasting from a dead man's grave. He matched the voice beyond his own doubt…
