What the station's canon holds on this case.
Nothing here spoils a case you haven't heard — banked cases aren't on these pages at all. Horizon · Case 064
A dying stranger left an envelope of restitution money in the flat of a flood-hero's shunned widow, and the detective hired to trace it arrived just in time to hear the widow and her grown son talk themselves across the line at their kitchen table. He counted the last bill, set the stack down where he found it, and walked out without naming what he had witnessed. When Flynn rang for a report, the detective said the trail was dead, and Flynn heard the lie for what it was and let it stand anyway.
